ENDORSEMENTS - WHY I HAVE OPTED OUT - THIS IS A NON-PARTISAN RACE

Why have I not pursued endorsements? 

Simple - This is a non-partisan race.

My accountability is to the community.

My goal is to substantially reduce, and hopefully eliminate, much of the contention and political maneuvering that has been a defining characteristic of the RRISD Board of Trustees.

We must place students, educators, and the professional staff of RRISD first.

Our students must be prepared for the rigors and challenges of life.  To achieve this RRISD must recruit and retain qualified and dedicated educators.

Educators must be treated with respect and supported by their administration; their voices must be heard.

Educators should not be used as pawns in “political gaming.”  They should be well compensated for results.

When accountability is to a political party and not to the community, students, educators, and the community loses.

So, I invite you to consider me as your candidate for Place 7 and let’s work for positive outcomes.
